Science Night at the Museums 2020
Location
Hilbun Hall, Cobb Institute, Harned Hall on the MSState Campus
UPDATE FEBRUARY 12 9am: Get your umbrellas ready and head out to Science Night at the Museums tonight!
I have consulted with the meteorologists and we have made the decision to hold Science Night at the Museums tonight (5:30-8:30pm)
IMPORTANT: If the National Weather Service is forced to issue a Tornado Watch for this area for this evening, we will have to cancel the event. Keep a close watch on your weather apps before heading over.
Some changes to note:
- There will no longer be food trucks, but the food court at the Union and Steak and Shake should be open.
- The stations originally scheduled for Harned Hall will now be on the third floor of Hilbun Hall (see updated event list below)
- Our meteorologists will be continually monitoring weather throughout the evening, and I have updated our map to list severe weather safe zones in Hilbun, Cobb, Harned, and Colvard Student Union.
We hope you can brave the weather to join us tonight!
UPDATE FEBRUARY 11: We are keeping a close eye on the severe weather outlook for Wednesday night, which is looking rainy with a chance of severe storms. Though all of our Science Night at the Museums activities are indoors, we want to make sure everyone stays safe!
Please check back here tomorrow morning for an update on the status of Science Night at the Museums. I don't want to make a final decision until I check in with the meteorologists in the morning.
Thanks for your patience!
